A Journey Through Multiple Dimensions

In his book, Edwin A. Abbott takes us on a journey through several worlds that have, or rather understand, numbers of different dimensions.

From Pointland to Spaceland via Lineland and the world of the narrator Flatland, we discover how they see and understand the other worlds.

By explaining a lot of points about Flatland, the author allows us to think of a two-dimensional world in a way that we are not used to. Indeed, in this flat world, the two current dimensions are the x-axis and the z-axis. It offers a completely different point of view than the two-dimensional images that we are used to seeing with the x and y axes.

In 2007, this story was adapted into an animated movie.

This reading will really help me to remain open to all possibilities for the part in 2 dimension of my project.
And the fact that the narrator visits worlds with numbers of different dimensions gave me new ideas for my project.
Another interesting point is that these people do not live in a specific number of dimensions, but only think that they are or are limited to living in this limited number of dimensions.
